Are you an emerging artist, amateur or, let’s face it, an artistic genius? If so, harvest magazine is keen to reap the benefits of your talent and/or back catalogue, and give you some exposure to boot. harvest is Melbourne’s most handsome literary magazine, publishing new writing and fresh design.

This means we’re always seeking artists to show off in our next issue.

While we are keen to see anything you’d like to send us, we try to match art with words. harvest doesn’t always seek to theme issues; however, we often see a common thread shaping the writing, and we’d be super-excited if you had some piece that matched our list.

HOW?

It’s as easy as emailing a digital version of your work in 600 dpi (300 to 600 accepted but 600 preferred) in a portrait format.

As a rough guide our dimensions are 210 mm width by 250 mm height (slightly shorter than A4). Your piece can be something you’ve created in the past or something we have just this second inspired you to come up with – whatever works for you.

Email our art director if you’re interested in being paired on the page with a literary friend.

ISSUE FOUR

harvest will be cranking up for its fourth issue in 2009/10.

We are looking for art, illustrations, graphics, collage, photography – anything really.

Enquiries about submissions can be emailed to our art director at harvest.artwork@gmail.com
